Study Guide 7: Building the Will, Part 3

May 3, 2024

Dear Believers, Friends & Fellow Students,

We pray that Allah has inspired us all to “renew your commitment to this study”, as we continue to reflect on the guidance and overcome the obstacles presented in our practical applications. Purchase the Official Edition of Volumes 1 & 2 of the Self-Improvement Study Guides, if you don’t have them, and continue to study. Reflect on these words from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan as we strengthen our Will:

“Through our works we will prove to the world that Allah has intervened in our lives and is at the very root of this resurrection process that we are now a part of.”

“Again, I am quoting from the Holy Qur’an; the Holy Qur’an says the ‘Jinn’ was created before Man. (H.Q. 15:27) Some scholars say that ‘Jinn’ means a being of fiery nature and temperament... If the ‘Jinn’ comes before the Man, you must come through the Fire of Emotion before you can become a developed human being. You have to learn to control these forces within your own being that come from God Himself, before you can become a human being...”

“Man can be an animal or Man can reflect Allah (God). You start in this world, like a fish, swimming in a bag of water. You evolve out of that and you come forth crawling; like other crawling things on the Earth. Allah (God) never intended for you to be an animal. He wanted you to be a perfect reflection of Himself. (H.Q. 11:7) But, there must be a coming out of the animal stage of development into a moral consciousness, where you have a spirit in you that accuses you for what you do, based on that which you know instinctively is right.” (H.Q. 75:2) Self-Improvement (Page 18; Par.3-4. Page 20; Par.1/Paragraphs 73-74, 80)

  • Read and discuss the Glossary terms (Page 171). (10m)
