Study Guide 7: Building the Will, Part 3

April 26, 2024

Dear Believers, Friends & Fellow Students,

We pray that you have made great progress in this journey toward Self-Improvement. Over the past few months we have been studying the Power of Allah (God) within Man, “The Will”. This very important gift and the building of it has been given 4 study guides, which include practical applications. It is with our proper study and application of these principles that we can accomplish what we Desire. Let us be found constantly revisiting, discussing, applying and sharing what is found in this revelatory course of Study.

Please take some time to revisit what we have been given in the Holy Quran, the messages from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the glossaries, the questions, analyses and our beautiful discussions with our fellow students in our journey in Building the Will. We lift these few words from the Analysis in study guide 5 for your reflection.

“As we embark upon the course of building the Will, we see the importance of keeping alive the light of Desire. For the Will is exercised only as long as there is a Desire. Continuing, perpetual Desire generates continuing, perpetual exercise of the Will.”

“Will is Power. In the physical body, it is the muscle that is power. As we exercise muscles and develop them by lifting weights, we exercise the Will in the same way by overcoming resistance. If we don’t meet and overcome resistance, our Will cannot develop.”

May Allah bless us to “…prove the truth of what we have been given by being successful.”

Assignment:

  • Share  the “habit which is constructive to your Will” that you selected last week, “discuss your experience in your effort to be consistent in performing a positive action”.
  • Read the Letter from The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan,  dated April 24, 1987(p. 161). Discuss the letter.

Here are some possible guiding questions to use during the discussion:

  1. What does The Minister say both fear and guilt do?
  2. What does fear pre-suppose?
  3. What does guilt come as the result of?
  4. What does The Minister caution us against, as we look deeper into ourselves?
  5. What is the only Fear that is necessary?
  6. What 2 things(in succession) cause us to move closer to manifest proof that Allah had intervened in our lives?
  7. What condition did Allah correct? How did He correct it?
  8. What is it time for us to do? Why?
  9. What will we prove through our works?

May Allah continue to bless us with Love and the Light of Understanding!
